Influenced by the something out of nothing Hip Hop mindset and fused with Reggae, Drum & Bass, Ska, Jazz and basically any other genre they feel like dabbling in. Born Ina Barns performances boast Energetic live drums enhancing the experience while rapid yet melodic rapping and eye blistering scratches grab audiences.

From humble beginnings started by two friends as a way to kill time, to a revolving door for musicians, DJ’s and Mc’s boasting multiple line up shows in venues such as Hootananny’s, Brixton Jamm (London) Talking Heads, The Joiners Arms (Southampton) The Attic Bar and Mr Wolfs (Bristol) along the journey.

Born Ina Barns DJ’s turntable skills and track choice provoke moments of jaw-dripping juggling to mob-inducing anthem-dropping mayhem earning them support slots for The Dub Pistols, Fun Loving Criminals, Afrika Bambatta, DJ Format, Reeps One, A-Skillz, Solo Banton and David Rodigan among others.

Festivals just seem to love the band with repeat performances at Bestival, Camp Bestival, Boomtown, and The Isle of Wight Festival. Along with appearance at Beach Break, Blissfields, Nass, Symmetry, Nozstock, Boom Bap Festival.

Since 2012 after releasing their debut LP Brick By Brick, gaining critical acclaim, the band then teamed up with Sika Records to drop their second LP Love Wont Pay The Bills with back to back video releases, and a cheeky single release with Irish Moss Records in Dublin, and regular dates on the festival and club circuit.

Now in 2017 the band are working on their third studio LP, collaborating with a host of other artists, and an ever growing gig schedule.
